Chetana (conscience/consciousness) is the centre of all our activities. It is a gender-sexuality resource centre, the first of its kind in Eastern India, a space dedicated to knowledge production, awareness, questioning, challenging, deconstructing and reconstructing gender, sexuality and sexualities. Chetana is an archive of books, journals, periodicals, news clippings and other forms of publications and has an exhaustive stock of films and videos on sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular. Chetana organizes discussions and talks around sexuality and other allied issues, video or film shows on special occasions for both members and non-members and accepts interns from colleges, universities and academic institutions from all over the country and abroad.
